Logistics Officer – Group I (DG ECHO)

About the role

The European Commission’s DG ECHO is seeking a Logistics Officer (Group I) for its New Delhi office. The role supports humanitarian relief operations worldwide by ensuring efficient logistics management for DG ECHO field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute logistics functions to guarantee smooth office operations within the assigned region.
• Supervise logistics processes, coordinate daily activities with offices, and provide crisis‑support logistics assistance.
• Act as the focal point for field‑office logistics personnel, offering guidance and temporary deployment to other regions when required.
• Deliver training and coaching to increase technical competencies across the logistics team.
• Contribute to the development of new logistics tools and processes in collaboration with Regional Logistics Coordinators and Authorising Officers.
• Support internal control compliance and participate in internal office verifications related to logistics.
• Manage procurement, supply, and equipment provision for DG ECHO offices.

Required profile

• Second‑level university degree.
