Logistics Engineer – Plant Planning

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Engineer to lead plant logistics planning projects for global automotive OEMs. The role involves designing end‑to‑end material flow solutions, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, and ensuring efficient supply‑chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute greenfield and brownfield logistics projects, covering inbound, in‑plant, and outbound material flows.
• Design and optimise logistics layouts, yard management, and vehicle logistics planning.
• Develop material flow designs (supplier → plant → line → warehouse → yard) and implement milk‑run, JIT, JIS, CKD/SKD concepts.
• Plan line‑feeding methods such as kitting, sequencing, and bulk supply.
• Define transportation strategies, returnable packaging, and lean logistics principles (FIFO, Kanban, supermarket).
• Lead project teams, manage budgeting, scheduling, and commercial guidance.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automotive or Design.
• 2–10 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain engineering, preferably with global automotive clients.
• Knowledge of inbound, in‑house and outbound logistics, including press, BIW, paint, TCF shop and yard operations.
