Logistics Analyst – US Transportation (India-Based)

About the role

Sonny’s is looking for a Logistics Analyst based in India to support its U.S. transportation operations. The analyst will act as an extension of the U.S. logistics team, handling shipment execution, freight audit, routing optimisation and reporting across all transport modes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage shipment data in the TMS, track parcels, LTL, truckload, air and ocean shipments and coordinate with U.S. locations, carriers and vendors to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Audit freight invoices (linehaul, fuel, accessorial, parcel), resolve billing discrepancies and assist finance with cost control.
• Analyse shipping patterns, consolidate LTL into truckload moves and recommend cost‑effective routing decisions.
• Monitor carrier performance, support vendor onboarding, conduct routing‑guide audits and ensure compliance.
• Prepare regular reports on on‑time performance, freight spend, carrier compliance and cost‑savings; support quarterly business reviews.
• Assist with import/export shipments, customs compliance and international logistics coordination.
• Maintain logistics SOPs, routing documentation and identify process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation execution, freight audit or supply‑chain analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with U.S.-based teams.
• Understanding of U.S. domestic transportation networks, LTL/TL decisions and carrier pricing.
• Willingness to support U.S. business hours.

Required skills

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Data‑visualisation tools – Power BI or Tableau.
• Freight auditing and cost‑control processes.
