Litigation Counsel

About the role

LinkedIn is seeking a Litigation Counsel to join its Protection, Competition, and Defense team in India. The role involves managing litigation and pre‑litigation matters across the region, working closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to protect the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all litigation and pre‑litigation disputes across India for LinkedIn.
• Investigate business and legal contexts to drive strategic case decisions and build evidentiary records.
• Handle subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and law‑enforcement requests.
• Support LinkedIn’s India Grievance and Compliance officers on government takedown requests and user disputes.
• Advise the Nodal officer and law‑enforcement response team on Indian law‑enforcement requests.
• Provide practical legal advice on product issues impacted by active or threatened litigation.
• Engage and manage outside counsel and vendors to ensure efficient, expert litigation services.

Required profile

• LL.B or LL.M from a recognized university.
• Admission to the bar (Certificate of Practice).
• Significant experience handling litigation and regulatory matters in India.
• Strong ability to analyze complex legal and business issues.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
