Linux/AIX Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Linux/AIX Systems Administrator to lead the installation, migration, and day‑to‑day support of AIX environments. The role involves managing patching processes, collaborating with security and IT teams, and providing on‑call support for critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, migrate, and provide break‑fix support for AIX operating systems.
• Develop, maintain, and execute enterprise‑wide AIX patching schedules.
• Monitor patch status, report gaps, and coordinate patch deployment with other IT teams.
• Provide guidance on patching procedures and keep abreast of the latest AIX patching technologies.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Create and maintain documentation for patching processes.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours patching activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AIX patch management and systems administration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, 24 × 7 environment.
• Relevant certifications such as IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX are a plus.
