Legal Manager

About the role

The Legal Manager will lead the bank’s litigation and recovery efforts, ensuring that all service‑related disputes filed by customers are effectively managed. Working within the Legal Corporate Group, you will support ICICI Bank’s 360‑degree customer philosophy by providing sound legal advice across banking products and corporate matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute litigation strategies for recovery and service‑related cases.
• Provide advisory support on loans, advances, deposits and other banking products.
• Analyse legislative changes, assess risks and recommend policy adjustments.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, technology agreements and other legal documents.
• Respond to legal notices, customer complaints and regulatory queries.
• Conduct critical analysis of corporate, banking and financial law developments.

Required profile

• LLB (5‑year integrated programme), preferably from a top National Law University.
• 2–5 years of experience in banking legal practice or a law firm.
• Strong understanding of basic banking principles and their application.
• Ability to advise on a wide range of legal matters and stay updated on recent developments.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
