Legal Manager – Fintech

About the role

Touras, a fast‑growing fintech company, is looking for a Legal Manager to join its Mumbai office. You will provide comprehensive legal support across commercial contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance for a suite of digital payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as MSAs, merchant, vendor, NDA, SaaS, API integration, software licensing, SLA and data processing contracts.
• Support commercial negotiations with merchants, banking partners, vendors and strategic alliances.
• Manage litigation matters (civil, commercial, consumer, labour, criminal) through external counsel and prepare legal notices, affidavits, petitions and opinions.
• Coordinate arbitration, mediation, settlement negotiations and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, Payment Aggregator/Gateway guidelines, Companies Act, FEMA, IT Act, AML, KYC, Consumer Protection and data privacy laws.
• Provide legal advice to business, technology, operations, HR, finance and compliance teams.
• Conduct legal risk assessments, support audits, protect IP (trademarks, copyrights) and maintain contract repositories.
• Assist in corporate governance, board matters, fundraising, due diligence and strategic transactions.

Required profile

• LL.B. degree (mandatory); LL.M. or Company Secretary qualification is a plus.
• 3–6 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate legal, litigation and fintech or related technology sectors.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities, knowledge of fintech regulations and RBI guidelines.
• Experience handling dispute resolution and litigation through external counsel.
