Legal Counsel - Corporate & Commercial

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to lead corporate and commercial matters, including a broad range of agreements and real‑estate transactions. The role serves as the primary legal partner for business teams, delivering practical, risk‑aware advice and managing external counsel relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor, services, partnership, licensing, and platform documentation, handling negotiations directly with counterparties.
• Manage the legal aspects of real‑estate transactions, including office and warehouse leases, leave‑and‑license arrangements, title due diligence, and the full lifecycle from term sheet to execution.
• Act as the first point of contact for business teams, providing practical, risk‑weighted advice rather than purely academic opinions.
• Coordinate with external counsel when needed, ensuring matters progress smoothly without delays.

Required profile

• 3–4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) from a reputable law firm or a strong in‑house team.
• Solid grounding in general corporate and commercial law with hands‑on real‑estate experience.
• Independent operator capable of taking ownership of assignments, flagging real risks, and delivering clear recommendations.
• Excellent drafting precision and judgment to discern material issues.
• LLB from a recognised institution and admission to practice in India.
