Legal Compliance Specialist – In‑House Counsel (Nashik)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Compliance Specialist to join our Legal & Compliance department in Nashik. The role combines in‑house legal advisory, contract management and company secretarial responsibilities, supporting both domestic operations and global group entities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and maintain commercial agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, vendor and customer contracts, technology and licensing agreements.
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, maintain statutory registers, and assist in board and shareholder resolutions.
• Coordinate with external counsel, consultants and internal stakeholders on legal matters.
• Review property lease, rental and office space agreements and manage related real‑estate legal issues.
• Support HR on employment law, contract labour compliance, internal policy adherence and labour law advisory.
• Implement data protection and privacy practices, reviewing contracts for GDPR, DPDP Act and other privacy regulations.
• Oversee company secretarial filings, board documentation and statutory compliance.
• Maintain contract repositories, compliance trackers and secretarial records, driving improvements in legal operations.

Required profile

• LL.B. degree (mandatory) with a CS qualification or strong company secretarial exposure.
• 6+ years of experience in corporate legal functions, in‑house counsel roles or law firms.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial law, corporate law, contract management and statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with land laws, labour laws, data protection regulations and multi‑jurisdictional corporate environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Companies Act, 2013 and corporate governance requirements.
• Experience with GDPR, DPDP Act and privacy compliance.
• Proficiency in managing contract lifecycles and maintaining statutory registers.
