Lead Web Developer – Build Digital Insurance Platform

About the role

We are looking for a senior Web Developer to join Zurich's Edge team and help build a digital‑native insurance platform serving customers across the Asia Pacific region. You will create responsive, high‑performance web applications that enable new distribution models and extensive automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Build modern front‑ends with Next.js or ReactJS and implement state‑management solutions.
• Integrate UI components with backend services via REST APIs and JSON.
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest and ensure code quality.
• Deploy and maintain applications across multiple environments, supporting CI/CD pipelines in AWS.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform defect analysis, and document technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reusable UI components and shared functions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience writing secure, scalable, and reusable code.
• Familiarity with MVC and other software design patterns.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with web technologies.
