Director of Engineering, Platform Services

About the role

Truveta is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead its Platform Services team in Hyderabad, India. The role combines hands‑on technical leadership with people‑management responsibilities, overseeing the design, delivery and operation of core infrastructure and backend services that power the company’s global engineering platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture and roadmap for platform services, including cloud, Kubernetes, networking, identity and developer tooling.
• Lead the design, implementation and operation of highly available, secure infrastructure and backend services such as authentication, CI/CD pipelines and observability.
• Partner with product, data, machine‑learning, security and engineering teams to translate requirements into delivery plans and ensure reliable, high‑quality releases.
• Build, mentor and grow a high‑performing engineering team, handling hiring, performance management and career development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 3 years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Proven experience leading teams that deliver shared platforms, infrastructure or developer tooling at scale.

Required skills

• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud‑native technologies.
• CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, automated testing and monitoring.
• Programming languages such as C#, Java, Go or Python.
• Authentication, authorization and identity‑management services.
