Lead Analyst – Corporate Credit Risk (R&A)

About the role

The Lead Analyst – Corporate Credit Risk (R&A) will join the Research & Analysis team supporting the New Zealand Corporate portfolio. Based in Bengaluru, the role is responsible for end‑to‑end credit management of a large, diverse mid‑market enterprise client base across sectors such as retail, manufacturing, media and entertainment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform research and analysis to identify, assess and manage risks inherent in clients’ capital structure, management and financial performance.
• Prepare high‑quality credit submissions through detailed financial analysis, industry research and risk assessment.
• Manage a large and diverse portfolio, ensuring timely completion of annual reviews, risk monitoring, credit approvals and other portfolio‑management activities.
• Drive end‑to‑end credit processes including risk grading, credit approval, documentation review and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers and Credit teams on risk and financial‑performance matters.
• Maintain portfolio quality in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Partner with legal and support functions to review, understand and execute deal documentation requirements.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in corporate credit risk analysis or related financial analysis roles.
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting, risk grading and portfolio monitoring.
• Ability to analyse financial statements and assess sector‑specific risks.
• Experience working with mid‑market enterprise clients across multiple industries.
• Effective communication skills to interact with relationship managers, legal and other stakeholders.
