Lab Technician & Quality Supervisor – Fabrication

About the role

DECG International is seeking a full‑time Lab Technician cum Quality Supervisor (Fabrication Only) to work on‑site in Bhopal. The role combines hands‑on laboratory testing of fabricated components with oversight of quality control activities throughout the fabrication process.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment used for testing bridge bearings, expansion joints and other heavy‑fabrication products.
• Conduct standard tests on raw materials and finished components, record results and prepare test reports.
• Inspect incoming materials and in‑process parts to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Identify non‑conformities, coordinate corrective and preventive actions with production teams.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Monitor process parameters and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• Proven experience as a laboratory technician or in a similar technical role within heavy fabrication or structural component manufacturing.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret test data and recommend corrective actions.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and documentation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow standard operating procedures.
