Lab Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Lab Technician to join our medical laboratory team. The successful candidate will operate both fully automatic and semi‑automatic analyzers, ensuring accurate routine diagnostic testing.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and perform routine maintenance on fully automatic and semi‑automatic Biochemistry, Hematology, and Immunoassay analyzers.
• Collect, receive, centrifuge, and process blood, urine, and body fluid specimens following strict safety protocols.
• Conduct routine blood tests such as CBC, LFT, KFT, lipid profile, thyroid, and glucose panels.
• Maintain quality control by performing daily calibrations, running controls, and logging maintenance activities.
• Record test results accurately and input data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for pathologist review.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness, safety hygiene, and proper biohazard waste disposal.

Required profile

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or BMLT.
• 6 months to 2 years of practical laboratory experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Operation of fully automatic lab analyzers.
• Operation of semi‑automatic lab analyzers.
• Experience with Biochemistry, Hematology, and Immunoassay analyzers.
• Venipuncture and sample collection techniques.
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information System (LIS) software.
