Kitchen Commis

About the role

Join Marriott International’s vibrant food and beverage team as a Kitchen Commis at our Golf Course Square location in Pune. You will support chefs and kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook and assemble cold and hot foods, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain presentation standards.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment after each shift.
• Follow all company safety, security and sanitation policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
