Kitchen Commis 1 – Hotel Kitchen Support

About the role

The Kitchen Commis 1 supports daily kitchen operations at Novotel Goa Panjim, assisting senior staff with food preparation, cooking, and service delivery. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that meals are prepared to brand standards while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior kitchen staff with mise en place and food preparation.
• Cook dishes following standardized recipes and present them consistently.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with hotel policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with chefs, stewards, and service staff to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
• Manage basic inventory for assigned sections and support stock control.
• Learn and apply Novotel brand standards and contribute to a cooperative team atmosphere.

Required profile

• Basic culinary knowledge and familiarity with standardized recipes.
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and manage time across multiple service periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Prior experience in hotel or restaurant kitchens is preferred; formal culinary training is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
