About the role

The Butcher Assistant role at IHCL in South Goa supports kitchen and culinary operations on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The position involves handling meats and poultry while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, storing, and preparing meats and poultry, including trimming, portioning, and packaging.
• Maintain high hygiene standards, ensure product freshness, and follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Label and organize inventory, coordinate with chefs on specific cuts, and support accurate stock rotation to minimize waste.

Required profile

• Strong practical skills in butchery such as cutting, trimming, and portioning.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices, including sanitation and cross‑contamination prevention.
• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or professional kitchen environment (preferred).
• Ability to work on‑site, stand for extended periods, and handle physical tasks safely.
