Junior Officer – Inline Hold Baggage Screening

About the role

The Junior Officer – Inline Hold Baggage Screening (ILHBS) will supervise screeners during shifts, ensure full compliance with aviation security regulations, and maintain seamless baggage screening operations at designated airport locations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise screeners in the absence of the Shift In‑charge, ensuring performance, punctuality and discipline.
• Guarantee 100% screening of hold baggage at ILHBS locations.
• Maintain compliance with BCAS and DGCA security regulations and support smooth ILHBS operations.
• Assist in preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports and incident reports.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, terminal operations, IT and external agencies such as ASG, local police, BCAS auditors and equipment service providers.
• Enforce organizational standards and discipline among personnel.
• Monitor KPIs including incident handling, report accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate with strong communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of AVSEC experience, preferably in Inline Hold Baggage Screening.
• AVSEC BASIC COURSE certification by BCAS (preferable AVSEC Management course).
• Standalone/Inline Screeners certification by BCAS.
• NCC “C” or “B” certificate holder.
• DGR CAT‑12 certification by DGCA.
