Junior Frontend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Frontend Engineer to shape the user‑facing experience of 8club, a product that helps people discover events, receive invitations and relive nights out. You will turn design mock‑ups into fast, beautiful, and intuitive interfaces for both mobile and web platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable UI components for the 8club mobile app and web application.
• Translate Figma designs into pixel‑perfect, responsive screens.
• Integrate frontend code with backend APIs, handling loading, error and empty states.
• Optimise performance metrics such as load time, animation smoothness and core web/mobile vitals.
• Collaborate with designers to provide feedback on feasibility and suggest improvements.
• Write clean, component‑based code with proper documentation.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in frontend development.
• Strong command of cross‑platform frameworks (Flutter, native Android/iOS) and web frameworks (Next.js).
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
• Experience publishing apps on Google Play Store and Apple App Store Connect.
• Excellent attention to detail – spacing, transitions and interaction states.
• Ability to read and implement designs from Figma accurately.
• Understanding of basic mobile and web performance concepts.
• Portfolio of apps, side projects or open‑source contributions.
