Jr. Quality Engineer

About the role

The Junior Quality Engineer will support the quality function in a manufacturing environment, focusing on inspection of raw materials, in‑process parts, and finished thermoformed components. The role involves ensuring compliance with specifications, maintaining traceability, and assisting with ISO/IATF documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of raw sheets and bought‑out items against specifications.
• Carry out in‑process and final inspection of thermoformed parts using gauges, fixtures, and engineering drawings.
• Take dimensional measurements, record deviations, and log non‑conformances, rejections, and rework.
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and traceability documents.
• Support handling of customer complaints and internal CAPA follow‑ups.
• Track instrument calibration schedules and identify instruments due for calibration.
• Verify parts against the latest approved drawings and ECN revisions before dispatch.
• Assist with ISO/IATF documentation and audit preparation.
• Escalate recurring defects to the Quality Head with basic supporting data.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Plastics, Polymer, or Production Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Gauges.
• Comfortable with MS Excel and data entry.
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined documentation habits, and willingness to work on the shop floor.
• Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi; basic English for report writing.
