Jr. Engineer - Cybersecurity Operations

About the role

Tata Communications is seeking a Junior Engineer to join its Cybersecurity Operations team. The role focuses on perimeter security, handling L1 tickets for proxy and firewall devices, and supporting customers with incident response and service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical troubleshooting for proxy/SSE solutions (Zscaler, Netskope, Prisma SASE) and firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco FTD).
• Implement and manage changes, projects, and incident resolution for proxy solutions such as Zscaler.
• Monitor and manage customer perimeter security infrastructure in line with SLA, ensuring minimal escalations.
• Conduct vulnerability management and apply remediation actions.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of security incidents and document findings.
• Assist with IT security assessments and audits under guidance of security management.
• Maintain documentation of security architecture and support communication with internal teams and external clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• 0–2 years of experience in security operations or network security.
• Ability to work flexible 24/7 shift patterns.
• Strong communication skills with technical staff and management.
• High integrity and strong work ethic.
