Java Solution Architect (Kafka, API, Microservices)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of distributed, event‑driven systems. You will shape the technical roadmap, define API strategies, and ensure resilient microservice architectures that scale in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Design distributed microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Define event‑driven architectures with Apache Kafka for real‑time data streaming.
• Formulate API lifecycle management, versioning, and governance policies.
• Enforce resilience patterns such as circuit breaking, rate‑limiting, bulkheads, and fallback mechanisms.
• Create architecture blueprints, sequence diagrams, and interface specifications.
• Establish coding standards, code review criteria, and clean‑code principles.
• Guide engineering squads through troubleshooting, debugging, and production optimisations.
• Evaluate emerging frameworks and vendor platforms for integration.
• Standardise CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps for automated cloud deployments.
