ITOPS Lead – SAP Native HANA & ABAP/UI5

About the role

Airbus is seeking an ITOPS Lead to drive operations for its SAP Native HANA, ABAP, and UI5 landscape within the Analytics and Data Product Team in Bangalore. The role combines IT operations management with deep technical expertise to support logistics and supply‑chain applications.

Key responsibilities

• Act as IT Operations Manager for the ERP CoE Logistics and Planning team, ensuring smooth daily operation of digital applications.
• Collaborate with global Airbus teams to align processes, governance, and digital services.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, performance tuning, and source‑code audits for SAP HANA, ABAP, and UI5 components.
• Maintain data transparency across the industrial supply chain by delivering reliable analytics applications and structured data.
• Monitor system performance, manage versioning, and enforce best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Graduate degree with 8‑10 years of experience in SAP Native HANA development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience each in SAP UI5 and SAP ABAP development.
• Hands‑on experience with code versioning tools (HANA Studio, Web IDE, GitHub).
• Strong knowledge of HANA objects (table functions, SQL, calculation views, database procedures).
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Qlik.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Skywise, PySpark, Python, Ontology, Foundry) is a plus.
• Understanding of data compliance, export control, DevOps basics, security, and sustainable IT standards.
• Ability to manage requirements, budgets, and understand business processes in logistics and supply‑chain domains.
