IT Technician – Technical Support & Infrastructure

About the role

The IT Technician provides first‑line technical support to keep the organization’s IT environment running smoothly. You will handle hardware, software, networking and user account issues while ensuring minimal downtime for employees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support for desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, operating systems and software applications.
• Monitor and maintain servers, network switches, firewalls and Wi‑Fi infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and connectivity problems.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, email accounts and access permissions.
• Support Microsoft Office 365, Tally and other business applications.
• Perform system updates, data backups and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and software support.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation, ensuring compliance with IT policies and cybersecurity standards.
• Assist in the rollout of new IT systems and infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Practical experience with servers, network switches and firewall administration.
• Familiarity with Tally, Microsoft Office 365 and other business applications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple issues efficiently.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
• Local candidates preferred.
