IT Lead – Build Internal IT & Security Function

About the role

We are looking for an IT Lead to own and build Sarvam’s internal IT and security function from the ground up. This hands‑on 0→1 role will involve setting up tooling, writing runbooks and operating controls initially, then scaling a lean team as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Administer identity providers (Okta, Entra, Google) including SSO, SCIM and conditional access.
• Enforce MFA and passkey authentication for privileged accounts.
• Manage endpoint MDM across macOS, Windows and Linux, including enrollment, compliance baselines and disk encryption with key escrow.
• Operate ZTNA, VPN and DNS filtering solutions to secure network and remote access.
• Implement DLP, SASE/SWG and cloud/SaaS security configurations, and maintain audit evidence for ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Run SIEM log forwarding, ITSM ticketing and incident‑response processes, including remote‑wipe and device isolation.
• Oversee vendor selection, contracts and ongoing security reviews.
• Develop and maintain BCP/DR testing for IT systems.

Required profile

• Proven track record of participating in audits for regulated financial entities, with hands‑on experience delivering ISO 27001 or SOC 2 evidence.
• Deep expertise in identity, endpoint and security operations, including vendor management and cloud/SaaS administration.
• Excellent written communication skills for creating runbooks, audit evidence and briefing non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfort building a function from scratch (0→1) rather than only maintaining existing processes.
