Inventory Strategist – D2C

About the role

Muun Home is seeking a hands‑on Inventory Strategist to own the end‑to‑end inventory lifecycle for its direct‑to‑consumer (D2C) and marketplace channels. You will be the single source of truth for stock accuracy, collaborating closely with the warehouse team and Head of Operations to ensure smooth, scalable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain real‑time inventory records across all SKUs and storage locations.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts and reconcile them with system data.
• Track inward shipments, returns, damaged or rejected goods with full documentation.
• Flag low‑stock situations and coordinate reorder requests with the operations team.
• Update inventory data on Shopify and Zoho daily and ensure accurate order syncing across marketplaces (Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.).
• Oversee receiving, tagging, put‑away processes and enforce FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Coordinate packing list accuracy, support dispatch operations, and manage damaged goods, dead stock and returns.
• Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports for the Head of Operations and maintain audit trails (GRN, logs, etc.).

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline; B.Com, BBA or Supply Chain preferred.
• 2‑4 years of experience in inventory, warehouse or operations within D2C, e‑commerce or retail.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
• Prior experience in a fast‑paced startup environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Shopify and/or Zoho Inventory.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic MIS).
• Familiarity with Shiprocket or similar logistics platforms.
• Experience with marketplace portals such as Amazon Seller Central and Flipkart Seller Hub.
