Inventory Intern – High-Value Devices

About the role

Instawork is seeking an Inventory Intern to manage high‑value electronic assets such as iPhones, SD cards and card readers. The role is on‑site and focuses on strict custody, tracking and reconciliation of every item at the serial‑number level.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of high‑value devices, ensuring zero loss and zero undocumented movement.
• Receive and verify inbound inventory from the IT team, recording quantity, serial numbers and condition in manual registers and Google Sheets.
• Hand over inventory to Field Operations and record each transfer with item details, recipient ID, date, time and expected return date.
• Process returns, re‑verify serial numbers and condition, and update records on the same day.
• Perform daily reconciliation between physical stock, Google Sheets and Field Operations inventory, flagging overdue or missing items.
• Maintain clean, structured trackers and support audits or internal checks as required.

Required profile

• Experience handling high‑value inventory or assets.
• Strong attention to detail and a zero‑error mindset.
• Ability to work under strict controls and follow documented procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Sheets, including filters and basic formulas.
• Familiarity with manual inventory registers.
