Internal Audit Manager – SOX

About the role

Invesco is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead its global Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) testing program and conduct risk‑based internal audits. The role reports to the Internal Audit Senior Manager and will work closely with finance, external auditors and technology teams, primarily supporting the back‑office centre in Hyderabad.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the company’s global SOX testing program, including process walkthroughs, control testing, workpaper updates and reporting to senior committees.
• Partner regularly with Finance, external auditors and the Technology team to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Plan and execute agile, risk‑based audits of business areas, with a focus on the Hyderabad back‑office.
• Perform walkthroughs, document business procedures and analyse control design.
• Develop internal audit plans, supervise audit staff or contractors, and conduct entry/exit meetings with business owners.
• Draft internal audit reports for senior management and follow up on audit findings and remediation actions.
• Manage audit assignments to meet defined timeframes and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting or auditing designation (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA, CIA, ACCA, ACFE) is preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of auditing experience, including at least 3 years of hands‑on SOX experience.
• Experience in asset management, securities or banking is a plus.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for a public company.
• Excellent project‑management, interpersonal and communication skills.
• High professional ethics and ability to handle confidential information.
