Integration Engineer - NodeJS, APIs

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Integration Engineer to design, build, test and support integration solutions using NodeJS and REST APIs. You will work within the Enterprise Integration Services team, collaborating with product owners and squad members to deliver modern, scalable API and mediation services for the bank’s digital ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Gather requirements with the Product Owner, estimate effort and deliver agreed outcomes.
• Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to define integration needs.
• Design, develop and modernise API and mediation services following enterprise standards and patterns.
• Support testing, troubleshooting and incident resolution, identifying root causes.
• Follow release processes to deploy services into production environments.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the squad and engineering chapter.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience building services with NodeJS and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of integration design patterns and scalable solution delivery.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and communicate across multiple teams.
• Experience with IBM DataPower for integration and mediation services.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and containerisation using Kubernetes.
