ILHBS Security Screener

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Security Screener for the ILHBS operation, responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant handling of passenger baggage at an airport environment. The role involves strict adherence to aviation security regulations and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 100 % compliance with BCAS and DGCA directives and guidelines.
• Screen and physically inspect baggage within strict timelines, interpreting images to identify prohibited items.
• Oversee allocation and safe custody of security stickers and other auditable documents.
• Coordinate physical checks with airlines, CISF and other relevant parties.
• Perform pre‑operational checks and monitoring of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS equipment, recording downtime and serviceability.
• Maintain registers, discipline, and a good TIP record while supporting workplace decorum.
• Ensure smooth rotation at X‑BIS and overall performance at the ILBHS location.

Required profile

• Graduate degree.
• Minimum one year of experience in baggage screening or related security functions.
• Clearance of AVSEC BASIC COURSE by BCAS.
• Standalone/Inline Screener certification by BCAS.
• DGR CAT 12 certification from a DGCA‑approved training centre.

Required skills

• Image interpretation of baggage.
• Operation of X‑BIS, ETD and CT‑EDS systems.
• Knowledge of BCAS and DGCA security regulations.
• Documentation handling and audit compliance.
