IB Early Years Homeroom Teacher (Full-Time)

About the role

The IB Early Years Homeroom Teacher will plan, deliver and assess an inquiry‑based curriculum for young learners in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. The role is based at Bloomingdale International School in Vijayawada and reports to the Primary Coordinator/Head of School.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑quality, inquiry‑based learning experiences aligned with the IB EYP/PYP framework.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and integrate literacy, numeracy, SEL and transdisciplinary themes.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and prepare academic reports for parents.
• Maintain a nurturing, inclusive and orderly classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with Early Years team, specialists and support staff; participate in professional development and IB training.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing updates, progress and addressing concerns.
• Organise classroom resources and ensure health, safety and well‑being standards are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field.
• Experience delivering inquiry‑based curriculum for early learners, preferably within an IB environment.
• Strong understanding of the IB Early Years Programme and its assessment criteria.
• Ability to create an inclusive, child‑centred learning environment.
