Hydraulics Component Design Engineer – Mobile Control Valve & HMI

About the role

We are seeking a specialist Hydraulics Component Design Engineer to lead the design and development of electro‑hydraulic and proportional mobile control valves, as well as HMI solutions for mobile hydraulic applications. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that require deep knowledge of fluid mechanics and hydraulic system design.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electro‑hydraulic and proportional mobile control valves (sectional, monoblock, HIC) and joysticks.
• Create hydraulic schematics, circuit designs, and select appropriate control systems for specific applications.
• Design pressure compensators and spool mechanisms for load‑sensing and flow‑sharing functions.
• Configure control valves to meet performance requirements.
• Lead cost‑reduction and weight‑reduction initiatives (Ratio Projects).
• Apply problem‑solving methods and root‑cause analysis to resolve design challenges.
• Design and oversee manufacturing of castings, forgings, and machining processes.
• Perform GD&T tolerance stack‑up analyses and ensure compliance with ASME/ISO‑GPS standards.
• Produce CAD models and manufacturing drawings independently.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in mobile hydraulics domain.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Creo, Windchill PDM, SAP, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
• Solid understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulic schematics, and control valve configuration.
• Knowledge of pressure compensator and spool design.
• Expertise in GD&T, ASME/ISO‑GPS standards, and tolerance stack‑up.
• Ability to conduct cost‑reduction and weight‑reduction analyses.
• Familiarity with casting, forging, and machining processes.
