HR Recruiter – Plant Worker Hiring

About the role

The HR Recruiter will lead bulk hiring initiatives for plant operations, ensuring the right workforce is onboarded to meet production schedules. This role collaborates closely with department heads, vendors, and internal HR teams to manage the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle for various shop‑floor positions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute large‑scale hiring for roles such as loom operators, extrusion operators, printing & lamination helpers, and packaging workers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with labor contractors, local vendors, placement agencies, and job‑fair organizers to secure a steady talent pipeline.
• Conduct screening, coordinate interviews, negotiate wages, and manage joining formalities, including ID, address proof, and police verification where required.
• Support worker grievance handling, attendance issues, and coordination with the Industrial Relations (IR) team.
• Oversee onboarding activities, including ESI/PF documentation, gate‑pass issuance, and induction processes.
• Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports on hiring numbers, attrition, contractor manpower, and attendance patterns.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in worker hiring, preferably within woven plastic packaging or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of plant manpower recruitment processes and labor contractor management.
• Basic understanding of IR practices and relevant labor laws.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
• Capacity to manage high‑volume recruitment under tight timelines.

Required skills

• Experience with MIS reporting and recruitment documentation.
