HR Manager – Labor & Operations

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead the recruitment, onboarding, compliance and welfare of both skilled and unskilled workforces for Valar Group of Companies. The role involves extensive travel across Indian states to source labor, while ensuring strict adherence to statutory regulations and maintaining industrial harmony.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to multiple states to scout, recruit and manage electricians, welders and other labor categories.
• Oversee onboarding processes, including documentation, site induction and accommodation arrangements.
• Calculate and process salary, ESI, PF and gratuity, and keep all labor‑law filings up to date.
• Conduct safety, technical and discipline‑oriented training for workers.
• Lead emergency response for medical or site incidents and manage labor appraisals and attendance.
• Mediate labor grievances, resolve conflicts and prevent work stoppages.
• Maintain machine maintenance records, coordinate with vendors and supervise preventive and post‑failure services.

Required profile

• Fluent in Hindi and Tamil (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial HR, labor relations or factory management.
• Willingness to travel extensively to remote regions for sourcing.
