HR Generalist – Commercial Business Support

About the role

McCormick is seeking an HR Generalist to support the Commercial business unit. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the role provides operational and administrative assistance across employee relations, recruitment, training and engagement, enabling the HRBP to focus on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare documentation, presentations and reports for HRBP‑led meetings and strategic projects.
• Address employee and manager queries on policies, benefits and HR processes, providing guidance and ensuring compliance.
• Support the HR Director with employee relations matters, investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Administer HR programs such as performance management, engagement surveys, learning activities and local town‑hall events.
• Partner with specialist HR functions to ensure effective deployment of HR initiatives.
• Act as a trusted point of contact on the floor, promoting morale, culture and company values.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear documentation and reports.
• Strong judgment in handling employee relations and compliance issues.
• Proactive and collaborative mindset with minimal supervision.
• Experience supporting HR processes in a commercial environment.
