HR Compliance Specialist – Labour Risk & Compliance

About the role

The HR Compliance Specialist will implement and maintain a robust compliance framework across Amazon's locations, ensuring adherence to labour laws and mitigating regulatory risk. The role requires high‑volume task execution with minimal supervision, strong problem‑solving abilities, and effective stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee labour law compliance for all sites, liaising with government departments to meet statutory obligations.
• Manage registration, renewals, vendor licences and other labour‑related regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, compliance reports and annual renewals.
• Coordinate labour inspections, prepare documentation, follow up on outcomes and maintain inspection records.
• Review notices, draft responses, submit required documents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain compliance dashboards tracking metrics, risk indicators and pending actions.
• Generate audit reports, monitor action‑plan implementation and keep comprehensive audit documentation.
• Provide guidance to functional teams on policy development and implementation to meet labour law requirements.
• Represent the organisation in government engagements and advocacy efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to handle high‑volume workloads with deadline sensitivity.
• Strong analytical, organisational and logistical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience in labour law compliance, regulatory reporting and audit processes.
