HR Compliance Specialist, Labour Risk and Compliance

About the role

The HR Compliance Specialist will implement and maintain a robust compliance framework to support Amazon's strategic initiatives. This role requires high‑volume task execution, proactive problem solving, and strong stakeholder communication to ensure labour law adherence across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive overall labour law compliance across the organization’s locations and engage proactively with government departments and regulatory bodies.
• Manage end‑to‑end registration and renewal processes, including vendor/contractor licence management.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, periodic returns, compliance reports, and annual renewals under Central and State labour legislation.
• Coordinate labour inspections, prepare documentation, follow up on outcomes, and implement corrective actions.
• Review regulatory notices, draft responses, and track closure of issues.
• Develop and maintain compliance dashboards tracking key metrics, risk indicators, and renewal timelines.
• Generate audit reports, monitor action‑plan implementation, and keep comprehensive audit documentation.
• Provide guidance to cross‑functional teams on HR policy development and labour law compliance.

Required profile

• Ability to complete high volumes of tasks with minimal supervision and deadline sensitivity.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience anticipating issues and creating contingency plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
• Detail‑oriented approach to maintaining accurate compliance records and documentation.
