Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at a hospitality property in Mumbai. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and inspected to meet quality standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily housekeeping shift activities, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces daily, communicate room status to the Front Desk, and assign cleaning tasks promptly.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, verify adequate equipment and uniforms for staff, and manage departmental budgets.
• Conduct training for new room attendants, schedule staff according to business demand, and track attendance.
• Administer property policies fairly, handle disciplinary actions per SOPs, and support employee recognition programs.
• Participate in departmental meetings, communicate goals clearly, and contribute to achieving financial objectives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, budgeting, and guest service standards.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
