Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager will lead all housekeeping operations at Fairmont Mumbai, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the brand’s luxury standards. This role combines operational oversight with a strong focus on guest experience and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness, comfort and presentation across guestrooms, suites, public areas and colleague facilities.
• Oversee daily housekeeping activities, achieve room‑readiness targets and conduct regular inspections.
• Coordinate with Engineering for preventive maintenance and resolve room defects promptly.
• Manage deep‑cleaning schedules, laundry coordination and preventive housekeeping programmes.
• Handle VIP arrivals, long‑stay guests and special requests, ensuring personalized luxury service.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Guest Relations to improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Ensure compliance with Fairmont Brand Standards, Forbes Travel Guide, LQA and hotel SOPs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing housekeeping teams in luxury or upscale hotels.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a track record of developing staff.
• Excellent guest‑service orientation and ability to resolve issues swiftly.
• Effective coordination with engineering, front office and other departments.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards.
