Housekeeping Executive

About the role

The Housekeeping Executive ensures that guest rooms, public areas and pool facilities meet Marriott’s quality standards after cleaning. This full‑time position coordinates daily housekeeping activities and acts as a liaison between housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry teams.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update departing‑guest room status and communicate changes in room assignments to the next shift.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Assist housekeeping management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and coaching staff.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents or injuries.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets and uphold confidentiality.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting (≤55 lb unassisted, >55 lb with assistance), pushing carts on uneven surfaces, and standing for extended periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
