About the role

Gaaloh is looking for a passionate Home Chef to join its Bengaluru kitchen. You will create authentic, home‑style meals that meet the platform’s standards for taste, hygiene, and presentation while engaging directly with customers through the app.

Key responsibilities

• Design daily or weekly menus featuring regional and international home‑cooked dishes.
• Source, store, and manage ingredients, ensuring proper portion control and freshness.
• Cook meals to order, package them safely, and coordinate timely delivery through the Gaaloh platform.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow food‑safety and hygiene protocols, and oversee overall kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with the Gaaloh operations team on order schedules, customer feedback, and promotional activities.
• Create short food stories, share photos, and participate in community initiatives to build a loyal customer base.

Required profile

• Strong culinary skills in home‑style cooking and menu planning.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic kitchen management.
• Ability to handle multiple orders, manage inventory efficiently, and maintain consistent quality.
• Comfortable using mobile apps and basic digital tools for order management and content sharing.
• Customer‑focused mindset with good communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
• Prior experience as a home cook, caterer, or in a professional kitchen is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Bengaluru and collaborate with operations and community teams.
