Head of Logistics Department (AVP/VP)

About the role

The Head of Logistics will lead end‑to‑end logistics, trade compliance and EXIM operations for a large organisation in Delhi/NCR. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure efficient import/export processes, regulatory adherence and cost‑effective supply‑chain execution.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Customs, DGFT, DRI and EXIM policies; monitor regulatory changes.
• Manage EPCG, Advance Authorisation, Duty Drawback, refunds and related schemes.
• Oversee import/export operations across air, sea (LCL/FCL) and courier shipments, guaranteeing timely clearance.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics with CHAs, shipping lines, freight forwarders and transporters.
• Negotiate freight rates, vendor contracts and drive logistics cost‑optimisation.
• Track logistics KPIs, build dashboards and use data analytics for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Production and Finance to align logistics with business plans.
• Drive ERP and digital tool usage (SAP, Ariba, MS Office), standardise processes and ensure audit readiness.
• Proactively resolve shipment disruptions and manage risk to maintain business continuity.

Required profile

• MBA with graduation degree.
• 20+ years of logistics, EXIM and trade‑compliance experience.
• Background in renewables, EPC, manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Experience managing large‑scale, multi‑location logistics operations.
