Head of Department – Education (Integrated B.A./B.Ed. Programs)

About the role

The University seeks an experienced academic leader to serve as Professor and Head of Department for the Education Department (UITTR). The role combines strategic oversight of integrated B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. programmes with a commitment to research excellence, curriculum innovation, and alignment with NEP 2020.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic and administrative leadership to the Education Department.
• Plan, implement, and enhance 4‑year integrated B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. programmes.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, research, and student outcomes.
• Mentor faculty and promote interdisciplinary research initiatives.
• Develop curriculum frameworks in line with UGC, NCTE, and NEP 2020 guidelines.
• Oversee accreditation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Encourage publications, funded research projects, seminars, FDPs, and academic collaborations.
• Strengthen industry‑academia and school partnership initiatives.
• Manage departmental operations, budgeting, scheduling, and faculty development.
• Contribute to institutional growth through strategic academic planning and innovation.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Education, Mathematics or Physics from a recognized university.
• M.Ed. with a minimum of 55% marks.
• M.Sc. in Mathematics or Physics with a minimum of 55% marks.
