Head of Application & Product Development

About the role

The Head of Application & Product Development will lead a newly established Research & Development centre focused on applied research for Chlor‑Alkali products. Reporting to senior business leaders, you will drive product innovation, improve existing processes, and ensure compliance with industry certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage the R&D centre, including budgeting, resource selection, and monthly performance reporting.
• Identify new market segments, collaborate with marketing, and develop new product formulations and applications.
• Lead field testing, pilot trials, and product improvement initiatives to ensure consistency and performance.
• Coordinate with government agencies, certification bodies, and research institutes for accreditations and audits.
• Support manufacturing teams with process optimisation, quality plans, and documentation.

Required profile

• 18‑22 years of relevant experience in chemical product development or related R&D functions.
• Proven leadership in establishing and running research centres.
• Strong analytical ability to translate market trends into viable product solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with marketing, supply‑chain, and regulatory teams.
