About the role

The Head of Application & Product Development will lead the creation of a fully equipped Research & Development Centre focused on applied research for Chlor‑Alkali products. The role drives product and process innovation for industrial, water‑treatment, and plastic sectors, ensuring technical excellence and customer‑centric solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the R&D centre, defining long‑term projects, budgets, and staffing.
• Identify new market segments, collaborate with marketing, and develop new products, applications, and formulations.
• Coordinate field testing, pilot trials, and product certification with government and industry bodies.
• Lead product improvement initiatives, setting quality benchmarks and supporting manufacturing teams.
• Drive process reliability through pilot testing, audits, and standardisation.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing technical team.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in chemical R&D or product development.
• Strong understanding of Chlor‑Alkali chemistry, industrial applications, and water‑treatment processes.
• Track record of launching new products and securing certifications.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams and collaborate with supply‑chain, marketing, and regulatory agencies.
