Hardware Functional Safety (FuSA) Expert for DC Products

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH and the largest software development centre of Bosch outside Germany, is hiring a Hardware Functional Safety (FuSA) expert for DC products in Bengaluru. The role covers functional safety development, management and documentation for automotive products.

Key responsibilities

• Create hardware safety work products for PLd and AgPLd products and handle customer safety discussions and internal stakeholders
• Track safety plans and create safety concepts, FMEDA, hardware and software safety requirements, safety assessments and safety audits for new projects
• Develop HARA, system, hardware and software safety concepts
• Review design and development artefacts and derive safety risk and mitigation plans
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and with module developers to optimise design
• Work on powertrain solutions, ECU design and development (preferred)

Required profile

• 10 to 15 years of experience in hardware functional safety
• Electrical, electronics or instrumentation degree (BE/B-Tech/ME/MTech)
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary design team, with strong analytical, logical and communication skills
• ISO 26262 certification is an added advantage; knowledge of ISO 13849 is preferred

Required skills

• Experience with HW functional safety work products such as FMEDA, FTA and DFA for automotive products
• Knowledge of digital, analog and power circuits and applications
• Good understanding of the product development life cycle with safety as a pivot point
• Exposure to hardware design of automobile control units
