Hardware Engineer – Consumer Electronics

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Hardware Engineer to develop consumer‑electronics products. You will work on microcontroller board design, power‑supply circuits and motor‑control solutions within a multidisciplinary team at Bosch’s Bangalore development centre.

Key responsibilities

• Design microcontroller boards and associated peripheral circuits.
• Develop analog and digital circuits, including buck, boost, LDO, linear and flyback power supplies.
• Create motor‑control driver circuits for BDC, BLDC and servo motors.
• Design MOSFET driver stages (PMOS, NMOS, high‑side, low‑side, H‑bridge) and current‑sensing circuits.
• Integrate communication interfaces such as SPI, RS485, USB, Ethernet and PROFINET.
• Use Altium, ORCAD or Mentor Graphics for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Select components, prepare BOMs, perform thermal calculations and SPICE simulations.
• Ensure EMI/EMC compliance and produce layout guidelines and design reviews.
• Document hardware design data (HDD), test plans and test reports.
• Conduct board bring‑up, testing, troubleshooting and system‑level validation using DSO, signal generators, thermal imagers and data loggers.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation.
• 3–10 years of relevant hardware design experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and logical problem‑solving abilities.
