Hardware Design Engineer – Battery Management Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to join our Bangalore team, focusing on the development of battery management system hardware for both low‑voltage and high‑voltage applications. You will work within Bosch’s global engineering environment, turning requirements into reliable electronic modules.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware components for LV and HV battery management systems.
• Perform requirement analysis using DOORSPCN/PTN tools and document specifications.
• Create electronic schematics, creepage distance matrices and review PCB layouts.
• Select components based on Design Acceptance Review (DAR) and define test plans.
• Document design, test procedures, and generate test reports.
• Conduct FMEA and FMEDA analyses for safety‑critical modules.
• Run simulations, calculations and hardware verification in accordance with LV124 and ISO 16750 standards.

Required profile

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Proven experience in analog and power electronics circuit design.
• Ability to perform worst‑case analysis, create test specifications and support validation activities.
• Strong documentation skills for module design, test plans and reports.

Required skills

• Analog and digital circuit design.
• Component selection and Design Acceptance Review (DAR).
• Simulation tools: LTSpice, SIMPLIS, MATLAB, Mathcad.
• Laboratory equipment: oscilloscope, high‑voltage power supply, function generator.
• FMEA and FMEDA methodology.
• HW verification and validation (LV124, ISO 16750).
• Soldering and high‑voltage testing of power electronics.
