Guest Service Associate - Front Office

About the role

The Guest Service Associate works at the front desk of a Westin hotel, delivering seamless check‑in and check‑out experiences while providing accurate billing and personalized assistance to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Process all guest check‑ins, check‑outs, room assignments, and late‑check‑out requests.
• Secure payments, activate or re‑issue room keys, and ensure rates match market codes.
• Verify and adjust guest billing, document exceptions, and run daily financial reports.
• Communicate room availability to guests and coordinate with housekeeping on room status.
• Operate the telephone switchboard, answer guest calls, and address inquiries or concerns promptly.
• Provide directions, transportation arrangements, and local information to guests.
• Count and secure cash drawers at shift start and end, process all payment types, and notify loss‑prevention of any theft reports.
• Follow company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
