Guest Service Associate – Food & Beverage

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer‑focused Guest Service Associate (GSA) – Food & Beverage to join our team at Mercure Hyderabad KCP, India. As a GSA you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to their tables, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately, demonstrating thorough knowledge of menu items and daily specials.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table settings and side stations.
• Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions efficiently.
• Upsell and promote food and beverage offerings to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in hotel operations or food and beverage service.
• Strong service‑focused personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
